Heiden, Steve (TE)
Posted Nov. 18, 2009 @ 5:50 p.m.
Heiden was placed on injured reserve Wednesday with an ankle injury.
Heiden injured his ankle in Monday night's loss to Baltimore. He had off-season knee surgery and had missed two games with a knee injury.
Quinn, Brady (QB)
Posted Nov. 18, 2009 @ 1:46 p.m.
Quinn has been fined $10,000 by the NFL for his chop block on Baltimore's Terrell Suggs, who is out for Sunday's game against the Colts.
After throwing an interception in Monday night's 16-0 loss to the Ravens, Quinn dived at Suggs' knees while trying to bring down cornerback Chris Carr, who had picked him off. Suggs had to leave the game and could miss more time.
Allen, Jake (WR)
Posted Nov. 18, 2009 @ 11:37 a.m.
The Packers have released Allen.
Allen spent the entire 2008 season and the first seven weeks of the 2009 season on the Packers' practice squad, and was signed to the team's roster after Brett Swain sustained a season-ending knee injury.
Quinn, Brady (QB)
Posted Nov. 17, 2009 @ 4:33 p.m.
Quinn fell to 1-6 all-time as an NFL starter Monday in a 16-0 loss to the Ravens. He was 13 of 31 for 99 yards with two INTs, including one returned 48 yards by Dawan Landry for a Baltimore touchdown.
Making matters worse, Quinn made a questionable chop block on Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs following an interception and legendary Ravens LB Lewis accused Quinn of a dirty play. Quinn defended the controversial chop block, but his skills as a quarterback are indefensible right now. Fantasy owners should try to avoid using Quinn.
Lewis, Jamal (RB)
Posted Nov. 17, 2009 @ 4:29 p.m.
Lewis carried 10 times for 36 yards Monday in a 16-0 loss to the Ravens.
The retiring Lewis had five 1,000-yard seasons with the Ravens, but found things tough against his former team. Lewis has also gained 1,000 yards each of his first two full years with Cleveland, but he has already said that he is frustrated with coach Eric Mangini and won't be back for a fourth season.
