Davis, Vernon (TE)
Posted Nov. 13, 2009 @ 5:35 p.m.
Davis was held to three catches for 16 yards Thursday night in the 49ers' 10-6 win over the Chicago Bears.
Davis talked a lot of trash earlier in the week about the weak Bears' defense, and while most of what he said was true, he certainly didn't look like a Pro Bowl-caliber tight end on Thursday. Davis has lots of talent but still needs to let that come to the forefront and keep his mouth shut.
Gore, Frank (RB)
Posted Nov. 13, 2009 @ 5:31 p.m.
Gore had 25 carries for 104 yards and a touchdown Thursday night in the 49ers' 10-6 win over the Bears.
Gore save the 49ers, who were helped by five interceptions from Chicago's Jay Cutler. He has an impressive 5.2 yards-per-carry average, and this was his first 100-yard game since Week 2.
Smith, Alex (QB)
Posted Nov. 13, 2009 @ 5:29 p.m.
Smith was 16 of 23 for 118 yards and an interception Thursday in the 49ers' unconvincing 10-6 win over Chicago.
Smith looked good early in his second stint as San Francisco's starter, but he hasn't been too good lately. This was his first game without a touchdown pass, but he's also thrown four interceptions in his past two contests.
Bruce, Isaac (WR)
Posted Nov. 11, 2009 @ 3:34 p.m.
Bruce, who has been dealing with a bad ankle most of the season, missed Thursday night's game against the Chicago Bears after being injured Wednesday.
The 37-year-old Bruce has caught 20 passes for 244 yards this season. He has 1,023 receptions and 91 touchdowns in his career
Davis, Vernon (TE)
Posted Nov. 09, 2009 @ 5:55 p.m.
Davis had 10 catches for 102 yards Sunday in the 49ers' 34-27 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.
Davis certainly seems to be enjoying the emergence of Alex Smith as quarterback. He has 20 receptions and four touchdowns in the two and a half games since Smith relieved Shaun Hill.
