Top corners in Ohio State/Illinois matchup

You can bet teams like Detroit, Houston, St. Louis and Cleveland, among others, will have an eye on this weekend's contest between Ohio State and Illinois, as two of the best cornerbacks in the land will be on display: Buckeye senior Malcolm Jenkins and Illinois junior Vontae Davis.

  • Florida State junior DE Everette Brown vs. Boston College sophomore OLT Matt Castonzo
  • South Florida junior DE George Selvie vs. Rutgers sophomore OLT Anthony Davis

Nebraska junior Ndamukong Suh is leading the Cornhuskers in tackling from his nose tackle position, but says he won't even submit his name the NFL's Advisory Committee.

UCLA's Carter uncertain regarding return
Reggie Carter, a junior LB for UCLA, admits his decision to to stay in or school or declare for the Draft has been weighing on him. Carter is the Bruins' leading tackler with 67 stops, 4 1/2 for loss and two forced fumbles, but doesn't have a great deal of momentum should he choose to come out. He considers himself an inside linebacker, but has been forced into duty on the weak side this season.

Kids could force Blackmon's hand
Since undergoing season-ending wrist surgery a month ago, Auburn junior ILB Tray Blackmon hasn't attended Tiger games. Head coach Tommy Tuberville says Blackmon remains in school, and is working part-time to support his children.
