Saw this on profootballltalk this morning: The Las Vegas Sun reports today that the district attorney in Clark County, Nevada, is considering filing charges against Pacman Jones for failing to repay $20,000 in casino markers taken out at Caesars Palace last September.
Jones' Las Vegas attorney, Robert Langford, had this to say about the debt, according to the newspaper:
"When it comes to casino markers, $20,000 is next to nothing,” he said. “I’m going to call the district attorney’s office and get this straightened out. He’s not a gambling addict. We’re going to pay it back.
Again, celebrities of the world, keep this in mind: You better pay back those markers, for Clark County and the casinos have figured out a little public embarassment could be a pretty effective debt collection strategy. To wit: Charles Barkley quickly paid his $400,000 debt.
