Trade market wide open for business already

Even if Tom Brady, Marques Colston, Nate Burleson, and the rest had made it through Week One unharmed, there would still be millions of fantasy owners around the world ultra-uncomfortable with being 0-1 after the first Sunday of the NFL season. We are an instant gratification bunch, quick to jump to conclusions and sweeping generalizations. That, combined with the high-impact injuries mentioned above and in this space all week, provides you with a fantastic opportunity to make an early blockbuster trade.

Brady owners have just lost their first-round pick and, as a result of their approach, inherently do not have a stellar backfield. If you're feeling particularly good about your RB depth, now would be the time to put a package together to turn a borderline starter (i.e., Earnest Graham) into a higher-regarded commodity (Marshawn Lynch). Let's say you were prescient enough to land Big Ben as your starter and Brett Favre as your backup. Could Brady's owner really afford to turn down an offer of Graham and Favre for Lynch? Perhaps, but he's just as likely to be a little panicky with that trigger finger.

Ditto with those that were counting on Colston. One very popular mistake in fantasy drafts is for owners to focus on filling their starting lineup before addressing depth. It's entirely possible that your Colston owner now has a combination along the lines of Jerricho Cotchery, Santana Moss and Derrick Mason in a two-WR plus Flex league. Think that owner is pleased with his options for the next 4-6 weeks? Should you have found yourself long on WRs after draft day, now is the time to move one of your pieces for a RB or TE while your opponent is feeling insecure.

One quick thought for my main man Fitz after reading his last post....I smell what you're cooking in regards to QB vs. RB injuries, but to play devil's advocate for a minute, answer me this:

How many games have Brady and Manning missed in the last seven years?
